Class Task #5 =)

1) How did you enjoy the film? What stood out for you?
I enjoyed the film because it showed me how other children and their parents live.  It showed me what kind of life they have and why they have such a poor life.  The things that stood out for me are that young children’s parents are doing prostitution, sell alcohol, and do drugs to make money.  Some of the children don’t even have a clue what their parents are doing.  The biggest thing that stood out for me is that Zana actually went to Calcuta and made a difference in the young children’s lives.  No one really would actaully take their time to go all the way to Calcuta and do something positive for these children.  She taught these children how to take photographs.  She gave the children a lot of love and did what she can do make their lives way better.  I am very proud of Zana because of what she did.  She actually gave the children a life.

2) Did you learn anything new about photography, life, people? What?

I learned that when you take a picture it is never right or wrong.  Anything you take a picture of is a picture.  Also people take pictures to express themselves.  I also learned that what we do here in Canada, they can’t do the same as us.  Their life is completly different from ours because here in Canada children don’t have to do with the red light distract.

3) How do you think the world needs to change?

The world needs to be changed because many woman in poor countries are being sexually harrassed for no reason.  They get beat up and have to do a lot of slave work.   Just because they’re woman it doesn’t mean they aren’t humans.  Every woman has their own right in every way, and they should have controll of themselves not men controlling them.  This is very important because woman are HUMANS too!

4) What are you willing to do TODAY to be a part of that change?

What im willing to do TODAY to be a part of that change is trying to help others.  I can inform other people by doing little presentations and showing them whats going on in our world.  Also I can make groups on facebook so people can join to fight.

5) Do you know a good song/rap/poem with good lyrics about change in the world? Post a link or lyrics to share it with us.

“Good Life”
(feat. T-Pain)
[Kanye West]
Like we always do at this time
I go for mine, I got to shine
Now throw your hands up in the sky
I g-go for mine, I got to shine
Now throw your hands up in the sky
[T-Pain]
I’ma get on this TV mama, I’ma
I’ma put shit down
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, I’m good
[Verse 1 Kanye West]
Welcome to the good life
Where niggas that sell D
Won’t even get pulled over in they new V
The good life, let’s go on a living’ spree
Shit they say the best things in life are free
The good life, it feel like Atlanta
It feel like L.A., it feel like Miami
It feel like N.Y., summertime Chi, ahh
(Now throw your hands up in the sky)
So I roll through good
Y’all pop the trunk, I pop the hood, Ferrari
And she got the goods
And she got that ass, I got to look, sorry
Yo it’s got to be cause I’m seasoned
Haters give me them salty looks, Lawry’s
50 told me go ‘head switch the style up
And if they hate then let ‘em hate
And watch the money pile up, the good life
[Hook]
Now I, I go for mine, I got to shine
Now throw your hands up in the sky
Now I, I go for mine, I got to shine
Now throw your hands up in the sky
[T-Pain]
I’ma get on this TV mama, I’ma
I’ma put shit down
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, I’m good
[Verse 2 Kanye West]
Welcome to the good life
Where we like the girls who ain’t on TV
[Good Life lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]
Cause they got more (Ass than the models)
The good life, so keep it coming’ with the bottles
Till she feel boozed like she bombed out Apollo
The good life, it feel like
Houston

It feel like Philly, it feel like D.C.
It feel like VA, or the Bay, or Ye
Ayy, this is the good life
Welcome to the good life
Homie, tell me what’s good
Why I only got a problem when you in the hood
Like I’m new in the hood, the only thing I wish?
(I wish a nigga would)
He probably think he could, but, but
I don’t think he should
50 told me go ‘head switch the style up
And if they hate then let ‘em hate
And watch the money pile up, the good life
[Hook]
Now I, I go for mine, I got to shine
Now throw your hands up in the sky
Now I, I go for mine, I got to shine
Now throw your hands up in the sky
[T-Pain]
I’ma get on this TV mama, I’ma
I’ma put shit down
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, I’m good
[Verse 3]
Have you ever popped champagne on a plane
While getting’ some brain
Whipped it out, she said “I never seen snakes on a plane”
Whether you broke or rich you gotta get biz
Having’ money’s the everything that having’ it is
I was splurging’ on trizz
But when I get my card back activated
I’m back to Vegas cause
I always had a passion for flashing’ before I had it
I close my eyes and imagine, the good life
[T-Pain]
Is the good life better than the life I live
When I thought that I was gonna go crazy
And now my grandmamma ain’t the only girl calling me baby
And if you feeling’ me now then put your hands up in the sky
And let me hear you say hey, hey, hey, ooh
I’m good

6) Pick a non-profit organization that is important to you.
Why is this important to you?
     Do they have a website?

A non-profit organization that is important to me is Sick Kids Foundation.  It is important to me because the money goes to support the hosiptal.  With the money they can buy new equipment for the hositpal, and for research. The website is http://sickkidsfoundation.com/?gclid=CMqs-NaVtZECFSPOIgodWjIMNw

7) What ideas do you have for media arts projects that we could do individually or as a class to help contribute to these organizations that are important to us?

Some ideas I have for media arts projects that we could do individually or as a class to help contribute to these organizations that are important to us are:

- make cards for little children such as get well soon, birthday etc.

- make advertisements

-raise money
